Child Control 2007 : Internet Control Program

Computers are the place for children. This is the place where they can sharpen their agility as well as their abilities. They can learn and make new friends. What’s more, the Internet provides information for homework assignments. So far, so good. But they also need to be protected from the computer—for one thing, so that they don’t lose their sense of time and forget to go out and play with their friends once in a while, and for another, because of the dangers lurking on the Web. That’s why responsible parents everywhere install Child Control on every computer that their children use.

Whats new for 2007

Give children an “allowance” of time
Child Control 2007 keeps track of the time your kids spend in front of the computer. Once their time is up, the computer automatically shuts down and won’t start up again—something any kid can understand. Our experience has shown that Child Control 2007’s verdict is accepted without arguments—there is no debate and no discussion. Another way of looking at it: “Child Control gives your kids back time that they are then free to spend in other ways.”

Safety on the Internet
It isn’t always easy to watch your young ones’ every move on the computer—and it’s even harder to follow what they’re doing on the Internet. Child Control 2007 can also help you here, by automatically shutting the door on their Internet connection once their allotted time is used up. Parents can easily regulate how many hours a day each child can spend on the Internet, and even specify the precise hours of the day when the gate to the worldwide online community will be available.

The Dark Side of the Internet
Sure, you can find any number of sites that are useful for learning, reference, and games. Then there are the other ones that are clearly inappropriate for children and teens. Some parents also worry about their children ending up on one of these sites by accident, or as the result of a dare. These fears can be quickly put to rest by Child Control 2007, which has already made a name for itself in Internet monitoring.

Control Internet access using filters
Child Control lets you activate filters to block all websites oriented toward violence or sex. You can also filter out specific words that may appear on various websites. Alternatively, you can limit access to only the websites that you specify. In that case, your kids will only be able to access these sites, and all others will be off-limits. In the 2007 version, parents can also limit their kids’ stay on certain sites to a specified time, so that eventually they will have to put their online games away and get back to their homework.

Just a few things Child Control lets you do:
Works with all versions of Windows from 95 to Vista
Limit time on the computer for each day of the week
Limit use of the Internet for the day and the week
Set PC off-limits times (e.g. after 11 p.m.)
Set Internet off-limits times (e.g. after 11 p.m.)
Easily extend time with passwords or TAN’s
Define “unwelcome” web content using keywords
Set time limits for categories of websites, such as videos and online games
Set specific time limits for each computer application
Grant unlimited time for specific applications, such as learning tools
Log all computer activity to let you later review each user’s activities
Block modifications to major Windows settings
Protect your data by blocking access to specific folders
Limit children’s access to specific programs
Disable “backdoor” access to programs or functions
Extend all time limits during vacation time—one click does it all
Set up a central database for multiple users (schools, institutions, etc.)
for computers connected by modem, networks, DSL, routers, etc.
Easily import or export settings or blacklists
Send log files to any email address

Prayer Life 2008 DVD

Movie Trailer: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ekk8ruRxBnA

Prayer Life is an engaging, satisfying film that deftly blends a strong, faith message with a very timely corporate suspense. It features a smart, intricate storyline that's punctuated with likable characters--and a few not-so-likable. Walter Maxfield Jones is brilliant as "Philip"--a young attorney who unwittingly finds himself defending an innocent woman (Diana Villamonte) in a high stakes, high profile white collar case. And in doing so, he also finds God--with the aide of his persistent, Christian wife (Chante Bowser). Nitin Adsul plays the complex "Prem Bir", an ambitious young executive caught between an opportunity of a lifetime, and a moral obligation to do the right thing. Terrific performances from a multi-talented supporting cast ensure that Prayer Life is a memorable film experience.

Hallmark Christian Card Studio

Hallmark Christian Card Studio

It is almost absurdly easy to create a card within minutes of installing Hallmark Christian Card Studio, for everything from birthdays to weddings. Big, friendly navigation buttons point the way, whether you choose a card to customize, or create one from scratch. Installation couldn't be smoother. The process is streamlined, but not so much so that you automatically get stuck with a bunch of "trial offers" that are really advertisements for other products; dialog boxes let you choose to accept these or not. It's otherwise a matter of clicking past the legal mumbo jumbo and restarting your computer. You will then be enveloped in the bubbly cartoon world that is this program's interface, with almost comically large buttons to click, pastel backgrounds, and flapping butterflies. But Christian Card Studio offers more than just a pretty interface. The editing tools seem at first rudimentary, but they offer power and flexibility. Resize, rotate, and crop images. Edit text and alter its color, font, and size. Those who have used image editing software of any kind will experience no difficulty whatsoever, and even beginners will soon be slinging text and images with the best of them. The best way to learn is to dive right in and start experimenting, as the "tutorial" is pretty skimpy and unclear. A few drawbacks: The Undo function goes back only one step. The super-friendly interface can be a bit much, especially when you want to perform a function that cannot obviously be done with those colorful, oversized buttons; on some screens, for example, there is no obvious way to go back to the previous screen. It is hard to take seriously the claim that there are "200,000 ways to create a card," unless you include every conceivable combination of text and image. Also, the Christian content is not all that it could be: the art gallery features many irrelevant categories such as Sea Mammals and Zebras. Finally, though the e-card function works well, be forewarned that the first thing your recipient will see is not an expression of your affection, but a technical explanation of how to view the card ("You can view your greeting by selecting either Run from the Start Menu or File/Run from the Program Manager..."). All in all, this program delivers a fun and satisfying experience. Though economy may not be a compelling reason to print your own cards--factor in the cost of card stock and ink for your printer and the price of printing a card is about the same as buying one--the chance to design exactly the card you want, with the aid of hundreds of thoughtfully written greetings, make this a wonderful tool for the home print artist.
Product Description
